Designing the sustainability of production and territorial systems
The Systemic Design course, which coordinates the Open Systems module, educates students to design flows of matter, energy and information of a given production process and its context in order to generate a new open and autopoietic system based on the relationships between its actors, in which the outputs of one process become the inputs of another process.
As of 2022, more than 70 companies belonging to the Piedmontese production framework have been actively involved in the course, establishing collaborations with the students in order to redefine production models in a sustainable perspective.
